From Scared to Sacred…two little letters, one big shift
Well I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling urged this year forward in positive ways, hopeful ways, more empowering ways. Even in the midst of obvious chaos and destruction, power-mongering and hatred, it feels like we have been climbing the roller coaster to the top at which point we just have to let go and ride the ride. But in that space, I feel a natural turning toward that which is more meaningful, personally and collectively, feeling that exhilarated sense of holding o

We All Asked For This?…
In a world that seems to be spinning out of control, some say toward extinction, it is easy to separate from the equation and say, “Well, I don’t want this, I did not choose this, I did not create this.” When we watch what is playing out on the global screen, we can be quick to claim no responsibility for it and blame it on “them.” But to do this is to deny a fundamental idea of Universal Law, where things work somehow literally and exactly. The Butterfly Effect is all around

Infusion of Joy, for Life...
I’m having a fun summer! Not the travel-around-the-world kind of summer, but the ride-the-bike-in-the-sun, dance-Tango, see-outdoor-movies-in-the-park, and read-a-good-novel-for-hours kind of summer. With friends.

It's All in the Setup...
My attention, now more often than ever, is caught by the moments when people describe the ongoing stress and overwhelm in their lives, often following really similar patterns to past stories I have heard. They say they long for more simplicity, more time for themselves, quality time with family and friends, relaxation. As I listen, I can hear that they are not making the connection between the formula they have repeated and their experiences being filled with stress. I’m sure

Staying on Axis...
For anyone who knows me, you know I LOVE Argentine Tango dancing! It’s such a joy to dance and learn this complex and intricately-woven improvisational dance. I’m learning to lead this wonderful dance as well now, a whole new fantastic and humbling challenge to add to my skill set. I love patterns, and this has surely got some patterns to unwind, both physically and musically. Tango has always presented itself as a metaphor for life, and that idea continues...

The Unknown is Known...
A couple of things as we enter this new year. First, we have gotten a bit walloped here in California with rains. We need the rain no doubt. But on the very anniversary of the devastating 2018 mudslides in Santa Barbara, January 9, the torrents began and we received almost a whole year’s worth of rain in 24 hours. Many still suffer PTSD from the mudslide 5 years ago, after the biggest fire in history. People lost family members, pets, and of course home and property 5 years a
